Didn`t mention whether it is a convertible or not, the ragtop is about $1500
higher. I agree with the fact that vettes are cheap especially this time of
year. As far as the engine problems sounds like electronics and is probably
not major, Can and do you do your own work? Or at least have a handle on a
good mechanic, that is vette savvey? The 96 was a great car and the silver
collector edition was the best of all, well, except the grand sport! See if
you can get him down to a reasonable price, after you get the problems
checked out. I wouldn`t be scared off at anything under $15000. Been
looking for one myself, to go with the 84 and 78 PC. LOL Good luck!
